Samsung has announced that the next generation of TVs are here. The Samsung Series 7 LED TVs promise clearer images, much thinner screens and more energy-efficiency and better green credentials.Its perhaps these latter two that make the new range so appealing. Like Apple, Samsung as made its screens mercury-free and as they use LEDs, they consume 40% less energy than current models. In stand-by mode they apparently use less 0.1W! As a result, they have been awarded the Eco Label mark of approval.
Of course, as a new product these new TVs will be expensive but as time goes by and as new competitors enter the market, prices should fall substantially.
