As is usual, in the run up to Christmas, the major camera manufacturers announce special deals on some of their product range. Nikon has announced that it is offering cashbacks worth up to £40 until 31 January 2011 for UK and Eire customers on the purchase of the D3100. Claims must be submitted by 28th February.
This seems to me to be a little mean, considering that Sony is offering the VAT back on some of its digital cameras. Visit www.nikon.co.uk/cashback for more information.
The D3100 is Nikon's replacement for the D3000 and comes with full HD capability (1080p), a 14.2 MP sensor, live view and a more ergonomic design, according to Nikon. It also has an 11-point AF system, ISO range up to 12800 and the new EXPEED 2 image processor.
