There are several ways you can do this but a virtually free way of doing this is to join online communities and regularly 'subscribe' to several websites.Some of my personal favourites are:
DSLR focused sites:
- www.dpreview.co.uk - great for latest reviews
- www.dslrnewsshooter.com/ - great for the user of HD Video capable cameras (like Canon 5D Mk III and Nikon D7000)
- www.amateurphotographer.co.uk - great for latest news and competitions; for all skill levels
- www.digitalslrphoto.com - plenty of news, reviews and members galleries
- www.dslruser.co.uk - site of photo mag of same name. Plenty or articles, reviews and news. Good forum.
User galleries and communities:
- www.redbubble.com - you can start your own group(s), have your own gallery and sell products with your own images.
- www.zazzle.com - not just photography but you can make money from selling products using your images
- www.photo.net - galleries, forum and learning resources
- www.dphotojournal.com - members' galleries, forum, tips and reviews
Tutorials and online learning resources:
- www.ephotozine.com - the friendliest photography community
- www.lenscraft.co.uk - great site by photographer Robin Whalley
- www.learndigitalphotographynow.com - Free Digital Photography Tips And Tricks
- http://www.photography-tutorials.net - free online tutorials
These are just a selection of the many sites out there. Of course, the major manufacturers also have learning resources on their sites so they are definitely worth checking out.
